In 1963 the Sertoma Club of Lima sponsored the building of the Sertoma Shelter House located at Faurot Park near what is now called Sertoma Lake.

Over the years the Lima Noon Sertoma Club added the planters and sponsored many other plantings around the lake. Twice we have refurbished the shelter house with a shaker roof in the early nineties and in 2009 funded the project to replace and cleaned much of the brick on the structure. See picture above.

The Lima Noon Sertoma shelter house gets much use from local fisherman in the warm summer months and is a very popular gathering place for those sledding & ice skating during the winter months. Park rangers keep the fireplace going so everyone can warm up!
