The Lima Noon Sertoma Club announced the winner of the 2012 Firefighter of the Year Award on Tuesday.Lima Fire Department Battalion Chief Ed Hower is this year’s winner.Hower says he learns something everyday from his fellow firefighters and tries to use that knowledge to better serve the citizens.Hower was nominated for the award by fellow firefighters- and is known as a guy you can always count on.Congratulations Ed!
